Since 1948, Lacey Fire District has been responding to calls for
emergency medical services and fire protection. Today, we service a growing
community of 79,450 people within a 70-square-mile area in North Thurston
County and the City
of Lacey.
In an emergency
situation, every second counts. That's why you can depend on us to be here -
when and where you need us. We're here to help when a family member or neighbor
is sick or injured, when a house or structure is on fire, or when a car
accident snarls traffic and results in injury.
Our five stations, strategically located throughout our
service area, are staffed by professionals and volunteers, dedicated to
responding quickly and providing the highest quality of service - 24 hours a
day, seven days a week.
As our
community continues to grow and flourish, Lacey Fire District 3 looks forward
to expanding and enhancing its services to best meet the emergency medical
needs of our citizens.

This Web site represents a
continuing effort to provide useful, up-to-date information about Lacey Fire
District 3 and the many services we provide to the community. We hope you find
the information helpful, and we welcome your comments, questions and
suggestions about our District and services. Please feel free to contact us at
any time.
There have been many
changes over the nearly 60 years we have served the Lacey and Northeast
Thurston County communities. One thing has remained constant throughout the
years - our commitment to providing rapid response and excellent service to our
neighbors, friends and family.
Today, we are one of the largest, independent fire districts in the
state, with more than 140 employees and volunteers. And we anticipate expanding
even more. Fire District 3 is one of the fastest growing areas in the state,
and as more people move into our community, our District will need to continue
to grow, too. Just last year, we responded to more than 10,000 calls, including
7,800 for emergency medical services - a six percent increase over the previous
year. We look forward expanding our capabilities to best serve the community's
needs - from emergency medical response, to fire prevention and suppression, to
valuable educational programs.
Nearly every 55 minutes of every day, one of our emergency response
teams is on its way to help a citizen of our community. In addition, many more
individuals access our non-emergency services by visiting or calling one of our
fire stations. This website offers one more way for you to communicate with us.
Our team of firefighters,
paramedics, officers, and support staff extends its sincere appreciation for
your support and encouragement. Together, we are truly Making A Difference.
