Lacey Fire District 3 is equipped to provide emergency rescue
services for a wide range of emergency situations, including auto accidents,
falls, industrial accidents, structure collapse, water mishaps, and more. Auto
accidents by far are the most common rescue scenario for Lacey Fire District 3
firefighters. When a complex car accident occurs, Lacey Fire District 3 is able
to respond with state-of-the-art equipment and resources. Truck 31, the
District's new ladder truck, offers specialized extrication and stabilization
equipment that is especially useful if a vehicle has gone off the road into a
ditch or ravine.
Lacey Fire
District 3 does respond to and attempt "still water" rescue on lakes or
ponds. Due to safety regulations, "swift water" rescues are typically
handled by the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.
